The Cill Rialaig Arts Centre, in Ballinskelligs County Kerry, offers a diverse selection of paintings, sculpture, fine crafts, books, photographs, unique postcards and small gifts. This art centre is linked to Cill Rialaig Artists Retreat.
The Cill Rialaig Arts Centre was built in 1995 in the Gaeltacht village of Dun Geagan, Ballinskelligs near Waterville and Cahersiveen. The Cill Rialaig Arts Centre features a wide range of exhibitions, programs and workshops year round.
In 1991, The Cill Rialaig Project began the rescue and restoration of a small pre-famine village on Bolus Head at the very end of the Iveragh Peninsula, thus creating an artists retreat that has attracted over the years more than 2,600 artists from Ireland and the world. The Cill Rialaig Arts Centre offers the local community and general public the opportunity to meet and experience the work of the resident artists at the more remote and protected Cill Rialaig Retreat.
The Cill Rialaig Arts Centre offers a rich shopping experience. Here, in addition to painting and sculpture, you will find fine crafts, decorative items made by artists, books, photographs, unique postcards, and small gifts unavailable anywhere else in Kerry.
