Courtmacsherry Water Sports Centre, County Cork, offers tasters of two to three hours as well as one, two, three or five day courses in land yachting, dinghy sailing, keelboat sailing and power boating.

With over 35 years of experience, Courtmacsherry Water Sports Centre based in picturesque Courtmacsherry, County Cork, is an ISA approved sailing activity and training centre.

There are many taster sessions, lessons for kids and adults plus camps for kids on offer for both sailing, power boating plus kayaking, wet’n’wild, (which can be either wake boarding or water skiing) and rib rush tours, lots of options to choose from for fun on the water. All activities are suitable for eight years and above, 16 plus for power boating.

Wet suits, spray suits and buoyancy aids are provided for water activities with helmets, goggles and spray suits for land yachting on the beach. No experience is needed, with qualified staff in all activities giving personal attention so the visitor can enjoy the action ashore and afloat.

Courtmacsherry Water Sports Centre Club membership is open to people who have gained a basic certificate. Club members may sail/canoe on Thursday evenings and Sundays weather permitting, throughout the year. Gift certificates are available. For full information and prices please visit the website.

The Franciscan friary of Timoleague is located nearby, it was founded in the late 13th or early 14th Century and today extensive ruins remain in the village which is just 10km east of Clonakilty. Visitors can explore the long church, nave, transept, cloister and tower.
