Set on lovely Cape Clear Island off the coast of West Cork, O Driscoll's Cottage is the perfect place to get away from it all. Open all year, the cottage features three bedrooms and is furnished to a very high standard.

Tigh Sheain Eireamháin is a three-bedroom house situated in the harbour area of Cape Clear Island, County Cork.

It has a main en suite double bedroom and two twin rooms upstairs. Downstairs there is the open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen area with open fire and electric heating. Appliances include gas cooker, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, TV with DVD player, and radio/CD player. The cottage has free WiFi for the convenience of guests. Gas and solid fuel are included, but electricity and refuse cost extra.

The cottage is situated in the village area of Cape Clear Island and is part of a lane of cottages. It has been recently refurbished and is near the harbour, a shop, restaurants, library, pubs, and bird observatory and ferry port. The cottages are open all year but pre-booking is essential. During the winter months the island hibernates, so most hostelries and food outlets are open only occasionally.

The fire is lit for guest’s arrival in the colder months. Linen and towels are supplied, and beds are dressed for guest’s arrival. Shopping/groceries can be ordered and delivered to the cottage before arrival.

Cape Clear Island is Ireland's most southerly island. It is a 45-minute boat trip from Baltimore or Schull in West Cork. The island is a Gaeltacht island. Because of its southerly position, the climate is milder than mainland Ireland. It is also a noted paradise for bird watchers, sea watchers and there are resident guides who do regular walks and trips for the visitors.
