Pinewood Cottage is a traditional stone cottage set near the sea near Bantry, County Cork. It is ideally positioned on the scenic Sheep’s Head Bay Walk and has been tastefully refurbished to offer a quality self catering for holidaymakers.
Pinewood Cottage is a 300-year-old traditional cottage that has been totally refurbished and now serves as a cosy and inviting self-catering home. It is idyllically hidden in a quiet area near Bantry, County Cork and sits on its own grounds with a mature garden with a large lawn and beautiful views of Dunmanus Bay.
The cottage’s interior is tastefully decorated and furnished. The kitchen features modern conveniences such as microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. There is a large dining table so guests can enjoy meals with friends and family. Meanwhile the sitting room features a TV and open fire that invites relaxation at the end of a busy day.
There are three bedrooms (one double and two twins), all of which are bright with ample storage. One of the bedrooms is downstairs. The beds come with high quality bed linen free of charge.
West Cork is an ideal destination for nature lovers, with walking on the Sheep’s Head Way, fishing for brown trout at Farnamanagh Lake and water sports along the coast. The cottage is just 1km from the picturesque village of Kilcrohane, home to a shop, restaurants and quaint old pubs. Visitors can also tour the Ring of the Sheep's Head Peninsula, with spectacular views, and historical and megalithic sites. There’s also something here for avid golfers, as Bantry hosts an 18-hole course.
