The Rock Shop and Liscannor Stone Story presents the history of quarrying in Liscannor. It is situated a short distance from Liscannor on the road to the Cliff's of Moher, in County Clare, and has been described as a virtual Alladin's Cave.
Filled with the earth's natural treasures, The Rock Shop, situated a short distance from Liscannor on the road to the Cliff's of Moher in County Clare, has something for everyone. Crystals of quartz, birth stones and healing crystals, stone vases and trays, magnificent celtic carvings on slate. Jewellery and jewels to suit all tastes and budgets, and finally of course rock, fossil and mineral specimens for collectors young and old.
The Rock Shop and Liscannor Stone Story incorporates a miniature waterfall, a restaurant and tea room. It boasts a fascinating display of fossils and collectable rocks. A presentation room with a video outlining the history of quarrying in the area and the properties of the various flagstones extracted from quarries in the Liscannor Moher Region.
With displays of precious and semi precious stones from Ireland and all over the world it has been described as a virtual Alladin's Cave.
On display is a collection of mineral specimens for collectors young and old. Recently acquired is a new collection of Irish Minerals.
