Gallaghers Seafood Restaurant and J.P. Clarke’s Country Pub is nestled in the heart of the historical quaint Irish village of Bunratty, Co. Clare, where a warm welcome and excellence is our tradition.
Gallagher’s Seafood Restaurant and J.P. Clarke’s Country Pub offer you seafood and traditional pub food with staff that will cater for your every need. Recently awarded Clare’s best restaurant (Gallagher’s) and gastropub (J.P. Clarke’s) by the Restaurant Association of Ireland, it has proven to be an ideal venue for both locals and tourists.
Gallagher’s is an 18th century country cottage which was tastefully restored in 1994 and developed into a restaurant offering a wide range of locally sourced fish, i.e. lobster, oysters, black sole as well as meat, poultry, and vegetarian dishes to add a touch of diversity.
Next door is J.P. Clarke’s, a rustic country pub featuring reclaimed sandstone floors, timber beams and brick and stone walls. Since its opening in 2008 J.P. Clarke’s has developed a reputation for excellence in food and a warm traditional friendly welcome. The pub offers a varied menu to suit all tastes with poultry, meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes to add to its excellence.
Only the freshest of ingredients is acceptable to Head Chef, Kieran Murphy and his dedicated kitchen team. Kieran works with local suppliers to create innovative and exciting dishes for Gallagher’s and J.P. Clarke’s. He is passionate about fresh, seasonal food and believes Ireland has the best produce in the world in terms of quality and flavour. His philosophy aims to showcase Irish food at its finest.
The atmosphere in both Gallagher’s and J.P. Clarke's is relaxed, friendly and informal, wrapped up in a quiet and idyllic setting.
Gallagher’s and J.P. Clarke’s cater for all types of bookings, from family and friends, to evenings out, to larger corporate and business dinner meetings. A speciality is the ability to offer guests menus featuring the locally sourced beef, venison & lamb dishes as well as award winning seafood platters. It is attention to detail and level of service that ensures your whole dining experience will be truly memorable!
J.P. Clarke's serves food from 12 noon to 10pm every day, while Gallagher’s is open every night from 5.30pm to 10pm and on Sunday from 12.30pm to 3pm.
