Kate Coleman is super-star deputy editor at Le Cool Dublin, tolerably competent manager of South Studios, and all-round sparkly girl about town. Here's her perfect day in Dublin...
If I had the time, money, resources and lack of hangover to finally live my perfect day in Dublin, it's have to start in Bibi's Café in Portobello with delectable Turkish eggs and bitter, creamy espresso.
I'd grab my lover (cos I'd have one - this is MY perfect day), dive on a DART, and make him stand attentively while I delve into Blackrock Market to hunt for vintage threads before dropping in for smokey Hick's Bacon Jam in Dun Laoghaire, and mystery bussing it to Cabinteely for coffee at industrial-cool Urbun.
Rambling through Dublin
We'd probably head back into town to splurge with oysters and white wine at Meeting House Square, before dashing to the Science Gallery's Makeshop to desperately try and educate ourselves.
Post-education, an amble through Trinity College would inevitably lead to a monster meal at Damson Diner, because American-Asian cuisine and neon lighting make it so much easier for you to pretend your next stop is Studio 54...and I suppose it nearly is, because Mother, in the basement of Copper Alley, is the hottest spot to shake your booty and whip your hair back and forth in this town. Then, it's time to say night night to perfection...
