With that in mind, she set up the blog
That Belfast Girl to tell everyone why she’s a lover of food, fashion and everything in between. And to highlight some of the fun and fabulous things to do in her hometown of Belfast.
"On a lazy day in
Belfast (where my own porridge isn’t cutting it!), I will always head to Arizona on the Lisburn Road. The staff there is so lovely and welcoming, plus they make a mean chocolate croissant! If I was nursing a sore head from one too many vinos at the weekend, Brights on Belfast’s High Street for an Ulster Fry or sausage soda would be my port of call!
Afterwards I would probably then have a nosey around my favourite shops in
Victoria Square and then pop round the corner to Arthur Street. This is my favourite street in Belfast – it has a Paperchase, Jigsaw, Jack Wills and Cath Kidson!

Ollies Nightclub, Belfast
House of Zen
Since I am already on Arthur Street, I’d nip in to the massive
Avoca for lunch. I recommend their raspberry and white chocolate scones! Or if I was in a hurry, I’d nip across the road and get a Boojum burrito to take away.
For evening activities, I would probably go to
House of Zen in St Anne’s Square for dinner. The big booths for groups feel so private and the food is delicious. They also sell fantastic cocktails!
I would finish my night by hitting up the night-club of the Merchant Hotel,
Ollies. They always play great tunes and you always bump into someone you haven’t seen in ages!"
