As Ireland’s third largest city, Cork offers countless attractions and activities. Visitors won’t want to miss ringing the Bells of Shandon, and visiting St Finbarre’s and St Mary’s cathedrals, the medieval Red Abbey and the English Market.
Cork City is also a wonderful base for touring the region. About 10km north west of the city, people will find (and kiss) the famous Blarney Stone. The Fota Wildlife Park, one of the region’s top attractions, is situated only 20 minutes east of Cork. Another wonderful day-trip option is Cobh, a picturesque port town known for its connection to Irish emigration and the ill-fated Titanic. It is a 30-minute drive from Cork City.
