Close to the iconic Loop Head Lighthouse County Clare, The Long Way Round provide guided coastal and heritage walks of the Loophead Peninsula.

The Long Way Round provide guided walks and hikes of one of the last truly unspoilt landscapes in Ireland. Join with nature and learn about the history, geology, botany and wildlife of the Loophead region of West Clare. With your Local guide Laura Foley gain access to areas of beauty which are otherwise inaccessible to visitors. An hour's drive from the world renowned Burren, The Loop Head Peninsula offers a vastly different landscape and geology. Situated in a fantastic position between the Atlantic Coast and Shannon Estuary and much like the Cliffs of Moher, the Atlantic coast offers a string of magnificent Cliff views. The Shannon estuary is home to an array of sealife and pods of Dolphins which on occasions can be viewed from vantage points along the walks.

Laura offers a schedule of walks including Historical town walks, Nature and bird watching walks and Heritage walks. Each walk is approximately 2 hours long and the cost for each walk is €20 for Adults and children between the ages of 8 and 16 can join the walk for free once accompanied by a guardian.

Private walks and group walks are also available and please contact Laura to discuss your needs.

It is very important to wear suitable clothing and footwear on our walks as the majority of walks are off road.
