Causey Farm is a fun based venue for a variety of entertainment, tourism and educational programs, in Navan County Meath. It is a beef cattle and sheep farm with a small herd of Connemara Ponies.
Causey Farm is a fun based venue for a variety of entertainment, tourism and educational programs. The Murtaghs run a 300 acre farm in County Meath and have opened up their farm to give visitors the opportunity to experience living Irish culture and fun farm activities and provide interactive cultural experiences in a friendly atmosphere for Irish and international groups, as well as fantastic seasonal events for families and individuals.
They are open all year round for pre-booked groups, such as team-building groups, school groups, group tours for overseas visitors and hen parties. Activities could include ceili dancing, sheepdog demonstrations, Bodhran lessons, brown bread baking, cow milking demonstrations, a boglands visit and demonstrations of traditional turf cutting.
Events are also run throughout the year for individual visitors, such as ‘Lambing Live’ at Easter, where you can witness lambs being born and explore the farm. The extremely popular Causey Christmas Experience, where you can experience a magical traditional Christmas experience and see Santa come down the chimney. In the summer, there is an afternoon package of fun activities, perfect for people visiting from overseas as well as Irish families. Did you know that the Celtic festival of Halloween began in County Meath almost a thousand of years ago? At Causey Farm, just 5km from the Hill of Tlachta, they celebrate this with events to suit all ages, from children’s shows to the scare attraction ‘Farmaphobia’ for teens and adults.
