Heir Island Self Catering is a traditional Irish cottage that serves as a tranquil retreat on beautiful Heir Island, which is located just off the coast of County Cork. The cottage has been recently renovated and can sleep up to seven people.
Heir Island is a little piece of heaven tucked away in a corner of Roaringwater Bay off the coast of West Cork. It offers a unique unspoilt landscape dotted with charming cottages dating back to the 1920s. With its abundant flora and a necklace of safe, sandy beaches, Heir Island is an ideal destination for painting, sailing, swimming, wind surfing, bird watching, diving and walking enthusiasts.
Heir Island Self Catering is a detached and secluded cottage that has recently been renovated. It has four bedrooms and can accommodate up to seven people. The cottage also includes a dining room, and kitchen with refrigerator/freezer and dishwasher. Other features of the property are central heating, two open fireplaces, TV, washing machine and boat mooring.
A local shop takes orders and will deliver goods to the cottage three days a week. There is no pub on the island, but the mainland is a stone’s throw away and a boat is available to rent on request.
So enjoy a tranquil retreat on Heir Island, only four minutes from Cunnamore and 20 minutes from Baltimore. Guests are sure to feel the benefits of a relaxing break on the island.
