Not many people know that Amelia actually landed her plane on what is now the sixth green. An exhibition documenting the Earhart heritage will be on display during 18 – 26 May.
Saturday 18th May – Beginners “Foyle Golf Trail”
This is a FREE event open to people of all ages who want to try golf for the first time. There will be expert tuition from PGA Professionals, free club hire, free goodie bags and a Certificate and discounted Golf/Meal Voucher for everyone who takes part. The Golf Trail starts at the Driving Range, before progressing into putting and chipping and then finally out onto the Par 3 course to put into practice what has been learned. Registration is essential and spaces are limited, just call the Foyle Golf Centre reception to book your place today. Groups will be small (up to 6 people) to ensure everyone has a great experience.

Saturday 25th / Sunday 26th May – Amelia Earhart 2 Day Open Golf Competition
Foyle Golf Centre host the world’s first Amelia Earhart 2 Day Open Golf Competition. In keeping with the magic of the Amelia Earhart story, the prizes for this event will be second to none and it is sure to be the event of the season for both local and visiting golfers alike. Open to all golfers with a valid handicap, the competition may be entered either Saturday or Sunday or both days. Timesheet in operation from 8am, booking essential.
