The Literary & Historical Society, University College Dublin and the College Historical Society, Trinity College Dublin are tied for the debating society with the most victories, 21 apiece. Both societies have won the team competition 11 times and the individual competition 10 times. University College Dublin has won the competition more times than any other third level institution (25 times) with Trinity College Dublin close behind (24 victories).
