Nicholas Mosse Pottery and Mill Café is set in a former flour mill in the picturesque village of Bennetsbridge, County Kilkenny. Visitors can browse the range of pottery, linen and glass, and enjoy food and drinks in the upstairs café.

Nicholas Mosse’s earthenware is made from Irish clay, fired with home grown Irish waterpower and decorated with traditional motifs inspired by old Irish spongeware. Its universal charm and appeal have made it loved and sought after throughout the world.

Visitors can browse among a huge selection of Nicholas Mosse pottery, linen and glass, over three floors of the store.

They offer tours of the pottery on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and require a minimum of 10 people. Tours are conducted by a pottery staff member and take 30-40 minutes. They require advance booking.

Visitors can end their visit in the cafe which is housed upstairs in the attractive mill which is the home of Nicholas Mosse Pottery. It provides splendid views of the River Nore and the magnificent multi-arched bridge from which the town gets its name. Lunch is served daily.

Nicholas Mosse Pottery and Mill Cafe is an hour and a quarter away from Dublin, 5 minutes from the centre of Kilkenny, and 20 minutes from Waterford.
