Beech Lane Farmhouse is beautifully furnished with open plan living area and 3 bedrooms. It provides a wheelchair accessable and pet friendly haven, a homely atmosphere and is near Kilkenny City and Carlow.

Beech Lane Farmhouse is a spacious, south facing, detached residence located just 15 minutes outside the marble city of Kilkenny. The property boasts beautiful views of the surrounding countryside including the picturesque Mount Leinster and the Blackstairs Mountains. Beech Lane Farmhouse sits on the steps of a walker’s paradise. There are many interesting cycling routes to be conquered in this area of Kilkenny, including a new cycling corridor under development. The house is perfect for gatherings and celebrations as it provides an open plan living area and a warm, homely atmosphere. It is child friendly (with cot available) and wheelchair accessible.

Its location is ideal for planning a family adventure with a reptile village, numerous parks, playgrounds and a host of other fun facilities and activities within driving or cycling distance. There are 4 golf courses within 5-10 miles radius, including the famous Mount Juliet. The River Nore offers anglers a great trout and salmon fishing experience and lake fishing at Mount Juliet can also be included in your holiday plans.

If you head south to Paddy’s Pub and restaurant, you will find it only 4.2 km away and heading north will bring you to the Bodhrán Pub, also 4.2 km. Shop for supplies in Gowran, (same Gowran that is famous for horse racing) only 7km away, or in the city only 8 km. Drive 10.6 km to Paulstown and join the M9 Motorway to Dublin. With great roads, Waterford is within each reach of Dublin.

On the ground floor there is an open plan kitchen, dining and living area with tiled flooring. This is fully equipped with everything needed for modern day living including a dishwasher, electric oven, refrigerator, freezer, electric hob, microwave, washer and a dryer. Also there are three bedrooms with wood floors. two bedrooms have a double bed and ensuite facilities (including one bath). Another bedroom has two single beds and is beside a wet room. Therefore there is sleeping capacity for six (seven if using the cot) people Also there is a play room on the mezzanine floor with two stair gates to safeguard children. Behind the playroom is a loft where we store surplus household requisites, the water tank, immersion/water heater and electricity metre.

We now have a very high quality sofa bed in the mezzanine area that can accommodate two more people very comfortably. If guests would like this to be in a separate room this can be arranged. We no longer use a coin metre for the electricity so we read the metre outside when guests arrive and again when they depart. Therefore they never run out of electricity during their stay. They pay on departure. We provide a trampoline for children.

The name Beech Lane Farmhouse originates from the canopy of beech that runs the length of the driveway approaching the house. These trees create a fabulous sense of peace and tranquility, especially during the summer and autumn when the leaves are plentiful and colourful. There are electric gates on the end.
