Black Church Print Studio, in Temple Bar, is an artistic collective and one of the leading contemporary fine art print studios in Ireland. It was established in 1982 as a non-profit organisation and is grant-aided by the Arts Council, Deptartment of Tourism, Culture and Sport and Dublin City Council.
Black Church Print Studio provides fully equipped facilities for all types of fine art printmaking from traditional to innovative techniques. Approximately two-hundred artists use the workshop yearly through our various access programmes and courses/workshops.
Full-time technical and administrative support is available. As well as providing facilities for members, the Studio is open to artists wishing to use print as an ancillary activity. For example, they have assisted artists in the production of etched metal, which was later incorporated into sculpture. Painters have used the facilities to screenprint onto canvas, board, and plaster walls.
Visitors are welcome by prior appointment.
