Bonniconlon Show & Gymkhana provides entertainment for the whole family with music, song and dance, showing classes for horses, ponies, cattle, sheep, poultry, dogs, cats, domestic arts & photography and plenty of side attractions! Bonniconlon is located at the foot of the Ox Mountain on the Mayo/Sligo Border in a scenic location only 14 miles from Knock International Airport, 6 miles from Ballina - the Salmon capital of Ireland & 8 miles from the famous seaside resort of Enniscrone. The Show will have 500 showing classes, 11 gymkhana events, 7 National Finals - horses, ponies, cattle, sheep, poultry, dogs and domestic arts. There will be the National Sheep finals for 14 different breeds of sheep, sheep dog trails, 6 live bands, the All-Ireland Sheaf Tossing Competitions, Queen of the Show, Bonny Baby, a heritage & vintage section, old craft demonstration, rare breeds of animals display, farm model display, model train display, stunt bike show, potato picking competition, and the most appropriately dressed Lady & Gent award. And after all that why not finish off the night with show dance in Grove Hall?
