Nestled in a private walled garden along the Atlantic, Beach Haven Cottage is a beautifully restored traditional cottage only steps from the sandy beach on Mweenish Island, County Galway. The cottage has three bedrooms and caters for six people.
Located on County Galway’s Mweenish Island and just 3km from Carna, Beach Haven Cottage is a beautifully restored, traditional cottage. The perfect place for both relaxing and active getaways, Beach Haven allows guests to awaken to a sunrise framed by the Twelve Bens in the distance and catch glimpses of the lighthouse beacon on the horizon from the open, gallery-style sitting room.
Sitting just 50m from a safe, sandy beach, Beach Haven boasts three bedrooms and can sleep six people in total. All linen and towels are provided. The cottage includes a modern kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, electric oven, washer and dryer. The bathroom has an electric shower, while the bedrooms include electric panel heaters. There are fuel stoves in the dining and sitting rooms. Additionally, for family breaks a children's cot and gate for the stairs are provided. Other safety features include a fire alarm system, extinguishers and fire blanket.
While Mweenish is a wonderful place to relax, there are many activities and attractions available to visitors. They can visit St Mac Dara’s Island, which is the site of a small church built in the 6th century. There are also many local lakes for fishing and, of course, the Atlantic right on the doorstep of the cottage for sea fishing. Additionally, the region offers horse riding centres, beautiful beaches, and walking and cycling routes.
