Situated on the banks of the Barrow River in Saint Mullins, County Carlow, The Old Grainstore self-catering cottages overlook 'the Scar' (the weir) as the River Barrow bends away towards the town of New Ross, with Brandon Hill rising to the west. The Stables is one of three, unique, stone-built cottages, in a courtyard setting, situated on the banks of the Barrow River. It is a great place to relax, chillout and still be within easy reach of Waterford, New Ross, Wexford and Carlow. The location is ideal for walking by the River Barrow, coarse fishing and cycling and an ideal base for touring in the sunny south east. The cottages are 500 metres from the pub at the top of the hill and there is a coffee shop and gallery which features the works of local artists and photographers.
