The kitchen table is vast enough for a jigsaw and the area under the stairs provides younger children with a secret little playhouse. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything required by the chef.
The living room includes a cosy open fireplace, well-stocked bookshelves, big armchairs and views of the garden, where guests can admire the peacocks or kick a ball with the children. There are three bedrooms (one on the ground floor) and a cot available. Additionally, there are two bathrooms, with a shower downstairs and bath upstairs. An initial supply of fuel for the fires is provided along with a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, sugar and homemade treats.
The Devane family has been welcoming visitors to Fruit Hill since 2002, and Susan and Richard are always available if help or advice is needed. They can arrange for a reliable babysitter if required. The choice of activities is wide and varied, with Wexford, Waterford and Kilkenny all within an hour's drive. In nearby New Ross, guests can discover three wonderful attractions: the Dunbrody Famine Ship, Hook Lighthouse and The Ros Tapestry.
