A detached, lakeside house, Lough Ree House is set in beautiful natural surroundings, on two hectares of shoreline at Mucknaugh Point, County Westmeath. The house boasts magnificent views from all rooms and has a unique location with facilities for boating, cruising and fishing, or for those simply seeking a picturesque and tranquil setting on the waterway. Lough Ree House has its own marina and offers guests the possibility of hiring a lake boat or family cruiser at reduced rates. The house features three bedrooms. One has a double bed, while the second has a double and a single bed, and the third has two single beds. There is a main bathroom with bath and shower, and a separate toilet/shower room. The house’s sitting room has a cosy open fire where visitors can relax at the end of a busy day. There’s also a spacious kitchen/dining room that is fully equipped. Bed linen and towels are provided free, while electricity and central heating are metered and charged as extras. No pets are allowed. Around Lough Ree House, there is a choice of two 18-hole golf courses: Glasson Golf and Country Club, and Athlone Golf Club at Hodson Bay. Lough Ree, the second largest lake on the River Shannon, also contains many islands and is rich in wildlife.
