The Connacht Spring Shown is a new opportunity for manufacturers of all products big and small to showcase their products to a wide range of people. The show which was originally known as The Connacht Sheep Shearing Championships was retitled last year. It still features sheep shearing as one of its main events with shearers competing from all over the world. There are many different show classes open to all to participate in with the Connacht Gold Beef Heifer Class seen as the one to capture. The best of the west food emporium allows food producers in the West of Ireland to showcase their products and those interested in showcasing their products should contact the relevant numbers on our web site. This year's special guest will be well known celebrity chef Derry Clarke who will host two demonstrations in the Coranna Hospitality Suite using local produce. The Connacht Dog Show has grown in strength over the last few years and is popular with all members of the family.
This year will see the introduction horse and pony classes to the show as well as a sheep and poultry show with a special vintage display. There will be fun and games for all the family to take part in with the introduction of a skittles and rings competitions as well as the traditional welly throwing competition.
