Kilbrogan House is a carefully restored historic house built in 1818, providing B&B accommodation only 30 minutes drive west of Cork City in Bandon. Original features of the old House have been imaginatively interwoven with 21st century conveniences.

Brother and sister team, David and Catherine FitzMaurice, fell in love with the Georgian Kilbrogan House in the early 1990s and have spent many years carefully restoring it. The House was first built in 1818 as part of the Duke of Devonshire's Bandon estate. They offer bed and breakfast as well as self-catering accommodation. Kilbrogan House is located just outside the busy market town of Bandon in West Cork. Their location gives the impression that you are deep in the countryside, yet you are just minutes walk away from the thriving town centre of Bandon with many excellent shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. There are three double rooms and one twin at Kilbrogan House and you will find that no two bedrooms are alike; with each room being decorated uniquely with antique furnishings, open fires and ornate cornicing. Each room, however, is furnished with comfortable beds complete with luxurious pocket sprung mattresses and starched Egyptian cotton bed linen. All four rooms are ensuite and overlook the gardens and courtyard. Breakfasts in Kilbrogan House are prepared by David who is a qualified chef and Catherine will help you with everything else. In the grounds of Kilbrogan House is the stone coach house which offers three self-catering apartments each sleeping two people comfortably. In the walled garden at Kilbrogan House you can try your hand at croquet or lawn badminton, relax by the pond or simply wander around admiring the many years that the FitzMaurice’s have spent planting. Alternatively their sun-filled conservatory that overlooks the walled garden is a great place to while away a few peaceful hours. There is WiFi access in the bed and breakfast as well as a desktop pc for guests use. There are a number of great restaurants nearby including The Poachers Inn on the Clonakilty Road, and Anarkali and Sorrento both in Bandon town. Café Urru, which is a great deli/café, and Seats Café, a creperie/café, are also worth visiting. West Cork is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Ireland. The coastline has sandy beaches and magical inlets. Cork, Kinsale, Blarney and Clonakilty are all popular destinations that are within a 15 minute drive from Kilbrogan House. Many visitors use Kilbrogan House as a base for touring the South West of Ireland.
