The Moorings is a small and exclusive development of holiday homes in a delightful location, overlooking the River Ilen on the Schull Road in Skibbereen, West County Cork. It takes just five minutes to walk from The Moorings into Skibbereen Town.
In all, there are 10 detached houses in the development. Nine of the houses have three bedrooms and can accommodate up to five people, with a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom. All are located upstairs and the double bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with shower. The main bathroom is also located upstairs and has a bath/shower. Downstairs there is a guest toilet with doors wide enough for wheelchair users to get through. All the houses have cosy, open fires, enclosed back gardens and wooden patio furniture.
There is one four-bedroom house that can accommodate up to seven people and is fully wheelchair accessible.
Pets are welcome on request and two dog boxes are available for use. An additional charge of €25 per pet per stay will apply. This is payable on site to the caretaker.
Skibbereen is a charming and bustling market town with a wide range of services, facilities and goods. It is peppered with lots of great pubs and restaurants. Beautiful spots like Mizen Head, Crookhaven, Dunmanus Bay, Glandore, the splendid beaches of Inchydoney and Castlefreke, a golf course, pony trekking, fishing, boating, and so many more attractions, are within an easy drive.
