Ballyknocken House is an award winning 1850s romantic farmhouse, elegantly furnished with antiques, located near Ashford in County Wicklow. Charming bedrooms, some with brass beds and claw feet baths offer lovely views over the gardens and forest.

Ballyknocken House is scenically located on a 350 acre farm only a short drive from Dublin City centre in County Wicklow. This charming Victorian farmhouse offers bed and breakfast accommodation and is home to TV chef and food writer, Catherine Fulvio. Located near Ashford in County Wicklow, Ballyknockan House boasts charming bedrooms, some with brass beds and claw feet baths that offer lovely views over the gardens and the forest. Guests can relax by the drawing room's log fire before the splendid dinner using garden and local produce. Guests can enjoy an interesting wine list and superb breakfasts in addition to the Ballyknocken Cookery School on site. A labour of love, at Ballyknocken they pride themselves on offering a warm welcome and friendly service with seven bedrooms all reflecting the Victorian style of the premises.

Growing up on a working farmhouse bed and breakfast while holding onto the apron strings of her mother, Catherine Fulvio (nee Byrne), was destined to dedicate her career to the food and hospitality industry. Catherine is fast becoming a household name in Ireland having completed three TV series for RTE and launched two cookbooks, she has made an impression on many Irish homes for providing quick and easy food suitable for family life and entertaining friends. She has made many media appearances including the NBC Today Show in the States as well as appearing on other major international TV channels including Discovery, The Food Network and BBC Good Food Channel’s 'Market Kitchen'.
