Ch ch ch ch changes
Well, I’ve just been on the change.ie website where I spent ages calculating my carbon footprint. I dutifully answered all the questions and according to the site I am responsible for exactly 0.0 tonnes of carbon emissions every year. I reckon that’s pretty good seeing as how I leave all my lights on all the time, burn mountains of coal in my back garden and spend way too long on my computer logging on to sites that fail to deliver on their promise to work out my carbon footprint.

Got the same thing. 0.0. Pathetic. I was defending this campaign on Shane’s blog but seeing as they’ve launched a televised campaign pointing you towards a feature that doesn’t work is beyond embarrassing.
Much like the questionnaire. I’m no eco-expert but they don’t even ask about how regularly you fly?

There’s a glitch in the system where if you enter advanced questions (which the site allows you) without entering your personal details (which you would assume wasn’t compulsory) then you miss out on half the advanced questions (which include ones about flights). This stops you getting your footprint.
Still and all it’s very user-unfriendly. I’m a (obviously very impetuous) techie and I found it very non-intuitive.
I only went back because I couldn’t believe it wouldn’t work properly. Anyhow… back to work.

I’m not sure I’d be bothered redoing it, at least not when the sun is shining. Am off out to burn the top of my head. Again.
