The Welsh are more intelligent drunk than sober. This is why their beer is called Brains.

JD - Ooh, controversial. AA Gill wrote last weekend on how he feels the Welsh can be touchy about criticism.

Having previously written that they were: “loquacious, dissemblers, immoral liars, stunted, bigoted, dark, ugly, pugnacious little trolls.”

Some might say that folks are within their rights to be a little sensitive about such comments. Not me mind you….

Ah, I love the Welsh really. Its just that they make fijits out of themselves every now and then.

BTW, would this be the same AA Gill who once called the Welsh “loquacious, dissemblers, immoral liars, stunted, bigoted, dark, ugly, pugnacious little trolls”? Now that’s an “ouch”!

The Welsh are overly sensitive to criticism - sure didn’t the entire Statelet get into a tizzy when Anne Robinson made some innocuous remark about Welsh people on The Weakest Link?

With that in mind we probably shouldn’t mention the fact that our language doesn’t even rate their “country” enough to give it a proper name - it’s just referred to as ‘Little Britain’.

That comment reads a little bitchier than it was meant to.

    Oh well. I regret nothing.

I would think Brian is tamping at this ad.
    It’s serious mind games

Is it really taking the piss out of us that much? I don’t really get it!?

ae85 - Maybe, in the tense build up to this match of matches, a little hyperbole has been employed. It does, though, take the piss out of Brian O’Driscoll - and that’s enough of an excuse.

ah well, I got the Brian O’Driscoll bit, I was just afraid that there was something else in the ad that had gone completely over my head.
