I know. Dublin doesn’t even have a hotel heiress/ socialite named after it. Speaking of whom, have you seen The Onion’s review of her latest film? Sounds compellingly awful: http://www.avclub.com/content/cinema/the_hottie_and_the_nottie

I was in a petrol station on the quays on a Sunday morning a few months back. This girl came in and not only was she wearing her PJs, she didn’t even have shoes on. This. Must. Be. Stopped.

Brock - It sounds awful. Not sure about compelling.

Declan - I want to have a live and let live attitude about this, but every neuron in my brain fights against it.

Another statistic, the number of social welfare spongers living in central Paris, also zero.

Head to the HLMs dominated banlieux if you want to see pyjama wearing French birds.

Yea, these people are really letting us down. I mean do they even THINK about our international competitiveness?

markg is right - you gotta look beyond the Periphique to see how many Parisians live. The chic are not as plentiful as first impressions may make them seem. Although its usually tracksuits rather than PJs.

I lived in a HLM complex once (not in Paris) for five months and it is way rougher than anywhere in Ireland (other than Thurles on a Saturday night!!). Quite simply, having a white face put you at risk - especially at night.

That said, I had great neighbours on my floor and many people try and raise good families in these poverty-ridden places.

JC of Swords fame is a big fan of Sunday morning ice-cream runs on the horse and cart in nothing but a dressing gown. You can’t argue with a man who makes sausages like that. You can’t.
