The pies have it

Filed under: Food — Jim Carroll @ 8:46 am

The best pies at the Electric Picnic (and as Una points out, at the Ben & Jerrys Sundae Festival in London at the weekend) are always at the Pieminister stall. Mmm, we can taste that Arriba Bandito pie already…

And, from the same good news department that first told you Wilco were playing Ireland this autumn, it seems that Pieminister are on their way to Dublin to open not one but TWO Pieminister outlets in the next few months. One will be in Temple Bar and one will be near Wexford Street/Camden Street. Like we said, mmmm.

This is the best news I’ve received since I was told the other day that Castlepalooza was on this weekend coming and not in two weeks as I had thought!

niall - i’m fairly sure YOU were the dude i spoke to! I talked to u on the Thursday when i was part of a media group walking around the site. I just checked my notes and theres no mention of Pieminister on any of the Oxegen info. Pity, i’d have tracked thru the mud for one!

EP line-up - i believe there are a fair few bands on the line-up who have not been announced yet. My sources, spies and detectives are working on this today.

Best pies are Pie Minister? What about Pie Kitchen? Based in Dublin, super tasty and keeping us fed at Castlepalooza, Festival of World Cultures and the Electric Picnic. I know where my Pie euro’s going!
