The Owenmore Fishery, located in Brandon Bay in the southwest corner of County Kerry, is one of Western Europe’s most unspoilt fisheries. Its stunning location on the Dingle Peninsula and abundance of wild stock is sure to impress any fishing enthusiast.

The Owenmore system includes nine lakes, five miles of fly fishing, 180 additional acres of lake fishing and at least 33 pools. This is all surrounded by more than 300 acres of beautiful, unspoilt countryside.

The fishery boasts an abundance of Atlantic salmon, grilse and sea trout, which run from April to early October. There is also an abundance of resident brown trout in the higher lakes, where Arctic char have been found as well.

Fishermen can enjoy the entire Owenmore River from its source high on the eastern slopes of Mount Brandon, the second highest mountain in Ireland, to the sandy estuary of Brandon Bay on the Kerry Peninsula. This spate river is surrounded by pristine bogland and rolling mountains, and is completely self-sustaining.

The fishery is easily accessed by road and you will find a number of B&Bs and self-catering cottages nearby.
