Galway Fishing

Explore the waters of Galway Bay and the Aran Islands with skipper Max Couque on board the 38ft Leaca Rua. Deep sea fishing trips in Galway Bay depart from the village of Spiddal.

Fishermen come to Galway Bay for catches of shark, pollack, ling, ray, mackerel and much more.

For day trips, the boat departs Spiddal Pier at 9am and returns around 5.30pm, depending on the tides. For evening charter, the boat departs at 6.30pm and returns at approximately 9.30pm.

The Leaca Rua is licenced to carry 12 passengers. Small groups and individuals are welcome.

You can organise a stop at one of the islands for lunch or for a pint if you wish. In the evening, your catch of the day can be cooked in a local restaurant.
