Formerly an 18th-century coaching inn, the building has been restored and refurbished to the highest standards of comfort and elegance. Today, it offers warm hospitality and 24 fully furnished rooms, all with ensuite bathroom, TV, direct dial telephone, and tea and coffee facilities.
The hotel bar is a popular place for both visitors and locals, with a relaxing atmosphere, cosy log fires and live music every Saturday night. Affordable bar food is available every evening. For a more formal dining experience, guests will enjoy Bianconi Restaurant, which has been awarded two AA Rosettes for its selection of creative menus and comprehensive wine list.

Roscrea is an historic town that dates back to the 13th century, when it was originally settled around Roscrea Castle, which is located opposite the hotel and is open to visitors. Also nearby is the 18th-century town mansion, Damer House, now home to Roscrea Visitor Centre. Other places of interest in the vicinity of the town are Clonmacnoise, Ballaghmore and the Cloghan Castles.
