Downings is also the destination for the annual all Ireland Windsurfing competition & an annual sailing regatta. . On another sporting note, the area hosts the annual Donegal International motorsports event with special stages on the Atlantic Drive in Downings & Glen/Carrigart. For those looking for a driving experience, off-roading in customised jeeps is located only minutes from the hotel.
