This charming 19th century house in beautiful setting, overlooking the Ballynahinch salmon river, offers great hospitality in a unique atmosphere. all home-cooking, log fires, lovely rambling gardens, free brown trout fishing, game and coarse fishing arranged. A fairytale house set in beautiful gardens, situated in the heart of Connemara between mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, The Anglers Return overlooks the Ballynahinch River and tidal lake, where otters play and seals can be spotted from the bedroom windows. The sitting room, with two large bay windows, an open fire, a piano and beautiful books, opens onto a south facing terrace garden, where tea is served. The dining room is huge, breakfast is leisurely and delicious, serving all home made products, mostly organic. The pretty bedrooms are bright, spacious and extremely comfortable, with glorious views from every window. Mature deciduous woodlands are a backdrop for the lovely rambling gardens, offering shelter and peace. Following winding paths past scented azaleas, an organic vegetable patch, to bluebell woods and midden seats. There is a magic here, with ancient trees, stone walls and tumbling flowers. Marquee garden weddings can be arranged at The Anglers Return, with all the best musicians, caterers, photographers and 5 star accommodaton nearby, to make that small intimate wedding a very different and special one. The pretty fishing village of Roundstone is 7 kilometres, with craft shops, great pubs and excellent seafood restaurants. Clifden is 13 kilometres across the beautiful bog road.
