A lakeside paradise and a fisherman's dream, Lakeland is situated on the western shore of Lough Corrib, Ireland's premiere wild brown trout fishery, only 3 km from the village of Oughterard, and 20 km from Galway City. Large lake view suites with magnificent views of Portacarron Bay. This is a bright and spacious home - all rooms are on the ground floor with individual access from the garden. It is an ideal base for the outdoor enthusiast - here, you are well placed for activities such as angling/boating (there is an angling/boating centre on site), the local 18-hole Oughterard Golf Course, and others within one hour's drive, hill walking (the famous Western Way begins in Oughterard), horse riding and sightseeing, from the cliffs of Moher to Westport, the Aran Islands and Connemara and everything in between.
